Early 1960s

The brewery was comissioned by the Cambodian Government in the early 1960s.

Joint venture with Pepsi Co. for bottling and distribution of soft drinks in Cambodia

2005

Carlsberg entered into the JV partnership with 50% of shares.

2009

Angkor Foundation is established to provide educational support to underprivileged children in the country

2015

​Angkor Premium Beer received another GOLD from the prestigious 2015 Monde Selection Awards

August 2018

Carlsberg increased its ownership by 25% in Cambrew following which the Carlsberg Group will own 75% of Cambrew. The transaction gave Carlsberg management control of Cambrew.

October 2019

Carlsberg took over 100% stake of Cambrew as the sole shareholder of the company. Gradually, , Cambrew is​ integrated into the Carlsberg Group; the Carlsberg standard procedures, culture and brewing excellence will be introduced to enable Cambrew to grow into a stronger company.​
